On December 8 Orhan Pamuk, the 2006 Laureate in Literature, visited the Nobel Museum Shop to sign his books.
The museum shop offers an extensive yet selective range of literature. Subjects cover the Nobel Prize and prize areas, the life and times of Alfred Nobel, the prize awarding institutions, and of course books written by and about Nobel Laureates. The prize-winning exhibition catalogue "Cultures of Creativity" is also for sale in no fewer than four languages.
A selection of children's books, activity sets, experimental kits and learning toys is also available. Visitors will also find postcards, posters and selected pieces of the famous Nobel dinner service.
Visitors can pick up a book and relax in an armchair previously utilized on the stage at the Nobel Prize Awarding Ceremony! Or spin the "Tippe-top" which is one of the toys that truly puzzled Niels Bohr, Nobel Laureate in Physics.
The Nobel Museum Shop is open at museum's regular opening hours.
